"Radiology requires a lot of hands-on and direct work with patients and medical staff. Communication and problem-solving can be just as important as the technical aspects of the job. Because the job directly affects the patients’ health and wellbeing, work can be majorly time consuming and interfere with your personal life. The job consists of a lot of “scut work” that can feel tedious and exhausting, but it’s all part of genuinely helping patients, which is its own reward."
